I've seen other reviews mentioning belt problems but the overall rating was still 4 stars so I decided to give it a try. First, and perhaps not as important as it looks, the material had an unpleasant "fishy" odor when I took it out of the box. The lid itself seemed pretty decent not to be flimsy and it matched my air conditioner. HOWEVER, the straps were at least 4 inches shorter to go around the unit and then snap in to secure it. I had to use elastic cords to hold it up but the plastic clips don't look that strong so I'm not sure how long it will last. Not worth going back and trying to find another one that actually works, so I'll see if it can withstand abuse. In years past the AC was still open so I think if it doesn't stay on then my situation won't be any worse than before except for a small amount of money. But I advise you to keep looking!
