When I first bought the cup warmer I had three main concerns, firstly it would have difficulty handling cups/mugs of different sizes, secondly the drink on the bottom burns if left too long, and third, how hot the drink gets, and fourth, its stability without moving to stay on the surface. I am very glad that my first, second and third concerns were not a problem. The heater worked great with both large and small cups (of course it could take a little longer with large cups) and my drinks didn't burn even with the heater on for hours. The drink gets so hot it's like you just brewed a cup of coffee and let it sit for a minute so you don't burn your tongue, so great job. the bottom one is just plastic. It will stay in place on a flat surface, but be careful to place the heating pad somewhere on the cord or else the heating pad will not be stepped on or bumped. However, you can solve this problem by purchasing multiple stickers. The heating pad is also very easy to use, you only have one on/off switch. Overall this is a great product, it does what I bought it for and seems to be durable.
