Finally had to replace a 40 year old Craftsman multimeter. Our car has constant phantom discharge (the LEDs on the audio unit are on 24/7) and I needed to make sure the battery was healthy before embarking on a 2,000 mile cruise. The battery is fine (12.2v), the alternator is fine, the leakage seems minimal and doesn't drain the battery (a lot!). For 10 dollars I have already justified my money! The display is crisp. I downloaded the Plusivo book "Art of Measurement" in PDF format. The only thing missing from the book, the minimal user guide that came with it, were descriptions of the symbols on the multimeter. I copied this product image from the Revain site and saved it for future reference (who knew the "V" stood for AC? I wasn't sure!)
