Choice of fossil substrate
I used several substrates when I was Mr. Horace (H. nasicus/Hognose); Too bad I just started with aspen. Though he spends inappropriate time crawling through the branches and pretending to be an emerald boa constrictor, deep down my pig is a burrowing snake, and he digs a lot. I noticed that he often uses the same tunnels and this is a great option for him. The aspen bedding holds the tunnels very well and doesn't smell at all. It also looks good for a semi-arid enclosure and can easily be incorporated into a bioactive build.
