This is a $38 adapter so I'm giving it 3 stars for not improving my AC1200 wireless adapter. Background: My network from my Google Wifi device to my cable modem router shows 789 Mbps. The connection from the WLAN adapter to the router is 500 Mbit/s+. Werk.so we have an adapter that can handle over 500Mbps. The mesh network has an excellent signal, as evidenced by the Google Wifi mesh test and the Realtek communication adapter. You need to install the drivers that the manufacturer downloaded from the internet. The download takes a few minutes. If you don't have a CD driver (you dinosaurs you). After installing the driver, I touched 228 Mbit / s (speedtest.net). I was hoping for speeds close to 500Mbps. Maybe speedtest.net has a problem. Let's try another source. Nooo. It didn't work there. To be honest it would have been better for a review not to review other sites. I changed the adapter settings but it didn't improve the connection. Satisfactory for 500Mbps+ = Very Satisfied 400Mbps+ = Very Satisfied 300Mbps+ = Somewhat Satisfied 200Mbps+ = Approximately 200Mbps - = Back to RevainAt the moment I will not be returning the device. But I'm on guard. The $10 unit I bought last September (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RBRM3Y6) runs at the same speed. I thought it was on a higher level and near my network router. You can see that it is only a few centimeters away from the hotspot. I thought it would blow my mind. Fur. Not me.
