Review on Premium Black Case Logic DLC-117: 17-Inch Laptop & Tablet Briefcase for Ultimate Organization and Protection by Darryl Montagna

Almost perfect, but meets my requirements.

I have an HP ENVY 17t Touch Laptop (J2R69AV for those who are interested) and an iPad Air 2. This case is exactly what I was looking for. The front pocket is big enough to fit all the accessories I need without taking up too much space, but gets a little bulky when I add the charger (thankfully I don't need that much since my laptop usually has a good battery life has short notice). ). To keep this review short, I'll just focus on the downsides that any other potential buyer might be worried about. The clips that attach the strap and the loops that attach it to the bag are made of hard plastic. My laptop weighs about 10 pounds, so the bag weighs over 10 pounds fully loaded. This means that every time I walk to the train, to school, to work, or anywhere else, a constant squeak follows at every turn. It's annoying and distracting. I have to put the bag in an awkward position for it to stop. Now I can easily break the loops and replace them with cheap metal carabiners at Home Depot, but once they break there's no turning back. I can also replace the strap with a better one, but why spend money looking for something that might not completely solve my problem? The second disadvantage is not so big. The pocket in the front compartment of the bag has a zip pocket for storing a laptop or maybe a folder. The flash level is too low for me to use its full potential. I don't plan on cluttering this thing, but the simple folder I have needs to be compressed to fit. All in all, if you plan on using this with a heavy 17-inch laptop while using the strap, be prepared for squeaks. If your laptop is light enough and you don't pack it around a lot, you should be fine.
