Review on Crosley CR704B PA Musician Turntable Bluetooth by Marc Farrell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The front was hard to read, so I painted it gold!

It was my mom's birthday present last year so I had a full year to test it. This is not the turntable you buy for a music lover. This is for those who just want to listen to music whenever they want. I've always wanted a turntable so I can buy old music (pre 60's) and have a more authentic listening experience. Due to its many functions, it is now in the living room. After our life with KonMari, we realized that not only did we have CDs and no CD player, we also had some cassette tapes and no CD player. It's so wonderful to be able to hear these things again. We went to a couple of used record stores to buy some records and bought some new ones. It's something so enjoyable that recording it on a record, CD or cassette adds to the atmosphere. The only features we haven't tested extensively are Bluetooth and radio. Both work, but we prefer to use the above modes. The only downside is that the lettering on the front is raised but the same color as the background. This made it a bit difficult to switch modes when it wasn't at eye level and in a well-lit room. I used some gold acrylic pencils and magnifying glasses to draw on the raised parts to make the lettering easier to read.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Fading
