Installation on my S-Series Pro Kamado was so easy. It was a hassle to remove the old factory installed gasket, but after removing all of the previous adhesive and cleaning the area, the FireBlack went so easy. I even had more than enough to vent to the top if I wanted to, but it's still in good condition. I make a few pizzas on my kamado so I like to bake at 600+ degrees and the pad looks amazing. My original felt pad caught fire after the first time and was useless after a dozen. That was great. The hardest part of this pad is separating the paper from the adhesive backing, even if you follow the instructions. After I understood, the rest easily parted. I would suggest starting splitting towards the end and once they fall apart if you messed up the gasket you will need to cut quite a bit. Once you've traced one half of the kamado, pinch the wrong side further before making the cut so you can easily start the next half.
