I can't pinpoint exactly what caused my problem but I've had these two 8TB drives with data in other cases for a year with no problems, them in this case and Two weeks later, filed in my file system beyond repair, I spent weeks using various recovery programs to recover my data as the drives were still working perfectly. I ended up losing data and had to make old copies from old backup drives and lost some stuff forever. The drives are now back in a different case and are working great. While I can't prove this case is to blame, I can't give it a good rating. In addition, the discs are so tight there that I don't see any measures to dampen the vibrations.
