This saved me a lot of money!
The plastic key fob cover on my 2012 Honda Civic broke causing the flat key to fall out. The car wouldn't start unless the key and fob were together within a few seconds of turning the key, so that was a big problem for me. My mechanic couldn't fix it and offered to replace the key. It would cost hundreds since the keys are a computer chip that fits the car! I decided to try this product first as otherwise the key worked. I'm very happy to report that the internal components (buttons/chip and flat key blade) fit perfectly into this replacement shell and were fairly easy to install. Now I have a key that works great!
