Product feels a little firmer than expected, making front and back closure difficult and ultimately imperfect. It closes, but neither side nor the other ever latches. This came as a backup for me, I wish they had tighter tolerances and tested it with a 2012 Honda Civic EX-L OEM key before shipping.

The RIF transponder chip was part of the button module for my 2008 Honda Accord fob so there is no need to rip out the chip and relocate it. But we found it impossible. To reassemble the key fob after transferring the key and button module, it just won't align properly. But since they're so cheap we'll be buying another pair to see if we can get one that snaps back into place.

My key fob broke after paying $150 for a replacement because I had a clumsy finger. I called around to see how much the key lock shop would cost, they charge $50 for the case. Then I found this case at Revain for $7. Oh my god it fits my 2007 Honda Accord key fob perfectly. Works great! I saved $140 and shipped fast. Perfect fit. Looks the same and almost better than my original Honda key. Very durable and it took maybe 5 minutes to redo everything. Be sure to take out your chip (if you have one) and I taped it to the side of the key fob (buttons inside). It seemed easier than double sided tape and less likely to lose if something happened. It saved me a lot of money and I especially liked that I didn't have to make a new key. They fixed my key out front for $10 with free two day shipping, that's great!

This is a great replacement for your broken key case to save money. Easy to install and save the huge amount of money the dealer charges for a replacement key. Be careful and remember that simply sharing the key is not enough. The RFID chip of the original key must also be transferred. The only complaint I have (and this prevented me from giving 5 stars) is that there is no RFID chip compartment inside like there is in the original case.
