Bought to update maps on my Garvin Nuvi. Bought in 2016 and still working, updated the maps yesterday. This is a data cable, not a charging cable. If you have a new car but no GPS (my truck) and one of the ports is a data/charge port, when you connect this cable the data screen will show you have connected a data cable. Or rather I should say it does on my car. And it charges like any cable, but very, very, very slowly. But the charging isn't what I bought it for and it does exactly what I bought it for and two years later it's still working the same way. Works great on Nuvi to connect to computer and update maps.
