Pleasantly surprised by the quality and durability

It is very common to order something that looks good in the picture but is smaller or worse than expected. This hook set is actually much better than I expected. Buying a similar set from a local hardware store would have cost me at least twice as much. I have used several of these hooks to hold heavy loads like ladders and a petrol trimmer and there is no indication they will ever have any problems. A really great feature is that the screw holes are on the vertical axis. That means you can screw them into the hairpin. In addition, there are holes for pan head screws and lag screws or large bolts. If you really need to keep more than 40 pounds. on a hook with a couple of lag screws (which you supply) make them blast proof. But that brings me to the only issue I had with the hooks: the included fasteners are rubbish. They are made of very soft stainless steel. They work fine as long as you don't thread screws into the stud and use the included drywall anchors and a non-powered screwdriver. But if you've ever hung anything on drywall, you know it's not a long-term solution. The problem with soft fasteners is that trying to drive them in with a screwdriver scrapes the heads off. I pre-drilled 7/16" pilot holes in a 2x4 pine stud and none of the screws could reach the right depth before stripping neither of them fell off. In conclusion, if you want strong, quality wall hooks, get them.
