Poor quality

I wrapped the toroid with teflon tape to prevent a short circuit to the core. After a single use, the coils were bent relative to each other. I didn't get close to the nominal temperature or the current. So I figured it was an accident so I rewound a new length of this wire and it lasted about the same and broke short between turns. I wound the torus again with another brand of wire with the same parameters, and everything has been fine ever since. Clearly inferior enamel.
