Ever since I tried these needles I hate using anything else. I do a lot of manual work, especially hand appliqués. Initially I was worried that I wouldn't wear a slightly shorter length. They are shorter than my previous favorite size 11 or 12 hats/straws (John James, Bohin, Jenna Kimball Thimble, etc.). Well, turns out I actually prefer that length. The eye is nice and big and they don't bend as easily as my other favorite brand (tulips). These needles are polished all the way around (like tulips) instead of up and down, which really makes them smoother as they go through the fabric.
