🍀 Precision Stitching: Clover Needles Applique Sharps No 12 for Seamless Sewing Review

This is AWESOME! Worth every penny. I embroider on canvas with over 10,000 beads. They are from Ukraine and cannot buy the supplied needles which bend very easily. After reading the reviews I decided to give this one a try. I have to admit that I frowned a little because they were a lot shorter. The beads still pick up easily, the needle was very easy to hold and went through the canvas like OIL. I even notice that the precise pin hole keeps my thread from getting tangled.

I've tried them once for hand applique and will never go back to any other brand (and the blanket I shared it with is new too). As for me, I've found other brands to fade quickly or break well before their acceptable lifespan. Black Gold glides over fabric (like a hot knife through butter, as the saying goes, thanks to longitudinal grooves and coating), stays sharp and rarely breaks. Ever since I tried these needles I hate using anything else. I do a lot of manual work, especially hand appliqués. Initially I was worried that I wouldn't wear a slightly shorter length. They are shorter than my previous favorite size 11 or 12 hats/straws (John James, Bohin, Jenna Kimball Thimble, etc.). Well, turns out I actually prefer that length.
