Review on πŸ“Έ Optimized SEO: PEAK Design Cuff Camera Wrist Strap by Jennifer Katz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great idea, bad execution. The company also tried to silence my review.

I originally tried to post this review on the Peak Design website. However, they never approved it for a demo and later confirmed via email that "our team has decided not to release it live" and instead offered me a refund. I think they don't want you to see what I have to say about this product. The original version of Cuff is better. My opinion on this: Both this cuff and the original are suitable as a camera strap for on the go. Once one end is attached to your wrist and the other to your camera, your camera will go *nowhere. Unfortunately, the new cuff design falls apart as soon as you take the camera off (e.g. put it on a tripod or on a table). ). The "bracelet" configuration of this redesign just doesn't work because the magnetic connection isn't strong enough to secure the body of the anchor even after it's adjusted, and within seconds it falls apart and starts to wobble. At this point, I'll just take it off completely. The old design used a second anchor to secure the free end of the bracelet which, once attached, although a little awkward to attach, never comes loose. The new version of the cuff is noticeably heavier than its predecessor due to several metal parts that were not present in the original. This cuff appears to be designed for users with moderately large wrists - the magnet has limited freedom to change position for smaller wrists. My wrists are 6.5 inches in circumference and I had to attach a magnet to the other end of the pocket that surrounds it so even the body of the anchor aligns with it when I wrap it around my wrist like a bracelet. Even after this adjustment, the magnet just isn't strong enough to hold it. Peak Design needs to change that - maybe a third time is a charm? It's not on par with their other products, so I'm not sure why other reviews are raving about it - it's possible those reviewers just casually used it for a few minutes before rating it. Considering how the company tried to silence me. Review I can say with certainty that I bought my latest product from Peak Design.
