Review on Mr. Gasket - 6005 Carb Spacer with 1-inch Open Center by Mike Gruwell

Overall very happy with this 1 inch spacer. The fit and finish is good, the price is reasonable, and the necessary hardware and gaskets are included. Remember that the sides and back are undercut on the outside to save weight and material. This is not clearly shown in the drawings. This is not a problem unless you want a very serious gap or "port match" with your distributor. . If you scratch the inner hole aggressively, you can go through the thin sidewalls. I believe this is a RARE issue but worth mentioning as it surprised me a bit. Most spacers are one-piece castings that are cut into the inner and outer profiles. (Top down view) My Holley 750DP fits onto the spacer and then onto my stealth manifold with no binding or movement issues right out of the box. All holes are perfectly aligned so no special spacing adjustments were required. I believe that for probably 99 out of 100 people this pad works perfectly right out of the box and never presents a problem. Definitely worth buying if you want a cheap 1 inch spacer.
