First of all, I hardly ever write reviews, I'm too egocentric for that. Second, I spent an incredible amount of time researching and finding an affordable Windows computer of this size (11 years old) that wasn't a dog. After about three weeks of intensive use, I can say that I get more and more interested in this computer every day. I had previously bought a cheaper (and less-featured) computer of this size and form factor from Wally World, only to find that there was nothing it could do without literally (and I use the word literally) being stuck in a dead end. I returned this computer within an hour of unboxing it and continued my search, eventually coming across this system (and several very similar ones). Since it's based on Celeron, I crossed my fingers hoping it would work well enough for what I want, which is multiple browser windows, multiple email clients, a small note-taking program, calendar, calculator, etc., them all work at the same time without hangers. Descent. It does it, and it does it consistently well - it gets small hiccups from time to time, not even remotely annoying - I'd almost call it fast most of the time. No, it's not a graphics or gaming engine (at this price, size, and form factor, are you kidding me?) and I don't have to run Quickbooks -- that's my larger, more powerful (and much more expensive) computer. . for that can stay on my desktop now. The features this computer lacks (battery life, full-size USB port) are committed and acceptable for what it is - again, that's a compromise. The keyboard is large enough to be used, the portability is amazing, the trackpad is okay in a pinch, the morphability is a huge bonus, and it has the guts to quickly complete the minimum tasks above. For my needs, I couldn't be happier with it.
