Great car, poor battery life

Excellent, powerful machine. My warning is that the battery life is terrible. In power save mode with the touchscreen off, an hour of light programming drains the battery by a third. This is probably due to its powerful processor paired with the display. I see this as a good solution for those using it primarily in a work place where it's permanently plugged into a power source, or for those who are usually near an outlet for charging. In addition, the computer gets very hot after an hour of use. I would suggest installing a fan or raising it higher to allow the fans below to circulate a bit more. In addition to the powerful processor, this should also be due to the compact case. This leads me to believe that CPU performance is not being fully utilized due to thermal issues. If you already have a larger device and are buying it for mobile, I would go with the i5 and the base display. Display quality doesn't matter at this size, and you won't notice a difference in CPU speed due to the aforementioned overheating issues. All in all it's a nice car and I like its size and weight. It feels solid and the display quality is amazing. I can open multiple IDEs, run a local development server, test, and browse the web without worrying about latency. I mostly use it at home on the couch or in bed when plugged in, so the battery issue sucks, but not critical. I also have a cooling issue with my MacBook Pro so the fan was a good investment no matter what.
