Bought this vest for open water swimming. I figured it would provide some warmth in the cold waters I swim in as well as some buoyancy. Good, there is buoyancy, but not much warmth. One of the buyers mentioned that it boots up while swimming and he was right. It really didn't stay in place. I used a lot of Body Glide on my armpits and neck to prevent chafing. After swimming in it, I rubbed my armpits and neck heavily. I think I would only recommend it for short sailing. I certainly don't intend to use it again.
