I have a Marvell 88SE9235 4 port card. I maxed out my desktop and used all seven SATA ports on the motherboard, but there was still room for another hard drive. One person can't have too much storage space, right? After a long search I decided on this card. It was easy to install after finding my way through all the cables to connect it. If I ever build another computer it will have a modular power supply so I don't have extra cables that I'm not using. to need. I didn't have to download any software, it was really just plug and play. Connect the SATA cable and off you go. Although I gave five stars, I have one minus point. It only came with a short slot cover/mounting bracket that obviously didn't quite reach the end of the slot. But it didn't affect performance in any way, so I can live with that.

Pros
  • Useful beyond its intended purpose
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
