Review on πŸŒ€ XPOWER FC-300 Heavy Duty Portable Shop Air Circulator, Utility Fan, Carpet Dryer, Floor Blower - Professional Grade with 14" Diameter by Shannon Judd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Powerful fan for wind speeds in excess of 20 miles per hour.

ft. Without a fan I need a 70 degree air conditioner to sleep and it runs all night and when it's hot my electric bill climbs to $100 in the month. Now with this speed 2 fan circulating air in my apartment I can keep the temperature around 74-76 and it only comes on a couple of times a night. The fan is amazing. The highest level is a bit noisy, but there is an incredible 20 km/h wind. For a fan of his size, that's pretty impressive. I compared this fan to a commercial 16 inch electric turbofan and a Vornado 660. Both are great fans by the way. I used an anemometer to measure wind speed. 300 = 22 mph standard box fan = 9 mph (for reference) Regarding noise. The FC300 is nice and quiet at level 1. Level 2 is manageable, but you definitely hear it. Levels 3 and 4 are loud enough when TV is difficult to see. The Vornado is the quietest, but it only has 580 cfm while this one has 2100. The fc300 has about the same cfm at low rpm compared to the Vornado at high rpm. And the fx300 is quieter at low rpm than the Vornado at high rpm. Since it is an air circulator, it must be able to eject a good flow of air over long distances. So I measured the airflow at 17 feet from the fan and all 3 fans: Fc300 hit 8 mph, Commercial Electric 6.5 mph, Vornado 660 2.4 mph. Above, the wind is literally everywhere I stand. It's awesome. Final Thoughts The Fc-300 is a wonderful fan. A commercial electric fan costs half, but this fan is much lighter because it is made of ABS plastic and is 2 inches smaller than a commercial electric fan. The cord is long and strong and you just need to wrap it around the fan itself and attach it to your own cord. The only negative is the volume at levels 3 and 4. But you can't hit 20mph of air movement without a lot of noise. Vornado is the quietest commercial electric car, followed by the fc300. There is a direct correlation between the amount of air delivered and the noise level. This fan could easily reach over 100ft if I had a location where it maxes out at 50ft like the Vornado, although they claim 100ft. Imo this fan is worth every penny. He destroys Vornado in Preform and looks cooler. I don't blame Vornado, I just feel like it should have a higher level cap.
