I bought this camera as a general purpose travel camera. I was excited to try it and see what it can do given the reviews. I found the image stabilization to be at the top of its class. I could do a 6 second handheld exposure at night. The problem is the general image quality. The RAW color science is just unnatural compared to my canons and makes it difficult to edit in post. Even in photos with moderate lighting, noise is a constant problem. I was expecting this camera to be a bit louder than my APS-C Canon, but the difference is a lot worse - slightly better than my 4 year old iPhone X. Don't even think about going over ISO 1000. Dynamic range is just so-so, and you can't extract a lot of detail from the shadows without immediately getting horrible noise and banding. The 12-45mm Pro lens is good and sharp, but has poor flare on long exposures (see image) - which negates the lens' advantage. ibis. At first I thought it was dust, but the lens was absolutely clean. The only way around this is to use the Livecomp setting and stack multiple exposures. However, this requires the camera to be on a tripod or something stationary, which again defeats the purpose of such a compact camera. In general, I just don't see a place for this camera in my life. The new smartphone can take photos of almost the same quality (or even better) and fits in my pocket. For something more serious I have APS-C and full frame Canon. I really wanted to love this camera, but I can't justify the high price and mediocre image quality.
