Warm ski gloves required. Got a pair of average quality gloves but fingers are always cold. I had a great pair of leather gloves. I started looking for mittens in the 80's but didn't want to spend $100 as I've seen a lot of bad reviews, even for expensive ones. It was a bargain price so I had my doubts. But I've been using them this week skiing in about 20 degrees and my hands stayed warm - sometimes too warm and started sweating so I took them off for a few minutes. But unlike my gloves, these mittens can be turned inside out pretty easily to dry out moisture (and get rid of the stink!). They seem to be holding up as well as some of my other gloves so I expect them to last a few years. The only negative I would say is that I wish they were sewn to form the natural curve of the fingers to make them better for gripping and holding things like ski poles. They are sewn evenly, without internal bending of the palms. But I'll take it warm.
