These Aurum Ultra series HDMI cables were just what I needed to both upgrade my system and to supplement my aging HDMI cable collection streamline and clean up. I recently upgraded to a new 4k UHD TV as well as a 4k streaming device. Like many people, I've found that some of my old HDMI cables aren't capable of 4k processing and some of my switching devices aren't HDCP 2.2 compliant. After looking through some old cables I decided to just throw everything away and buy all new connection cables. I bought about a dozen Aurum Ultra series HDMI cables of various lengths and have been very happy with the quality and price. First of all, by standardizing a batch of cables, you can be sure that the cable you choose will work. I'm not sure if there's a performance aspect to the new braided cable craze or if it's just a marketing gimmick. This at least makes it clear which cables are newer and which are older. I am a happy user of Aurum Ultra series HDMI cables.
