Review on ๐Ÿถ Electric Dog Fence + Remote Trainer - Contain & Train 2 Dogs with 1000' 20 Gauge Underground Wire - Covers 1 Acre - Single Collar Solution by Janet Battle

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I regret it and have given up hope for the underground fence.

I swear people would give 5 stars to someone who robs their house if they close the front door and turn off the lights before they leave. Combination set for training fence. The remote worked very well but the rest of the system was disappointing. I loved this product and did my best to make it work properly. The better quality wire was too thick to connect to the power supply. I spent more time plugging it in than running wires in the yard. The connection was never really "good" in my opinion, but eventually I managed to get it to stop beeping. The clamps that hold the cable in the box are cheap and designed to hold something like speaker wire rather than thick solid copper wire. The collar will hold a charge for approximately 1 day. I honestly tested it 10-15 minutes after charging. I still felt like he didn't last long enough. If you forget to charge it once, it may not work. But worst of all, the signal was extremely erratic. I've occasionally received beeps within a few feet of the line, and at times I've been able to walk the line without a beep, vibration, or shock. The three-level warning is very inconsistent. Sometimes you only hear a beep, sometimes no beep but a fast vibration, sometimes just a vibration, random bumps, and sometimes not at all. I kept checking the connections, checking the connection of a small piece of shock indicator, trying a small piece of this to help with an intermittent signal (doesn't connect well with a thick wire), and constantly charging the collar to make sure it didn't is working. user error. I'm still getting conflicting results. I don't want to risk my dog so I'm sending them back. I don't know what to do now except how to install a fence.
