When I bought my 16 inch MacBook Pro to replace my aging desktop I thought it would be easy to plug it into my existing dual Connect monitor setup. I'm wrong That started several weeks of research and understanding the differences between USB-C, Thunderbolt 3 and other ports you need to know to understand which one will work with your device. Let me save you the trouble: Thunderbolt is a worthwhile investment. 3 and it's a good docking station at the right price. In short, you can't just buy a USB-C hub with ports and connectors and plug in your monitors. It is more difficult. USB-C is one type of connector, but it doesn't support everything. You need a USB-C hub that supports Thunderbolt 3, as this technology allows you to connect multiple monitors to your computer with a single cable. This is a Thunderbolt 3 docking station. I connected two monitors via DisplayPort and it's perfect as you can see in the photo. Now my MacBook Pro works as a portable desktop. This dock works great.
