Review on Xerox Phaser 6510/DNI Color Printer - Ready for Amazon Dash Replenishment and Improved SEO by Christopher Wells

Two mistakes are worse than one.

I bought this printer to replace a Xerox Phaser 6280 that has worked flawlessly for over 7 years. I thought the new phaser was a good idea. Not much. The first printer I bought broke and required a visit from a Xerox technician. The printer continued to suffer from paper jams as while correctly set for letter size paper it defaulted to European A4 size. When waiting for A4 size paper instead of letter size paper, it jams halfway through the page. Since the technician could not fix the problem, the seller agreed to replace this printer. That's not good, given that it costs $60 to ship and a 65-pound printer isn't easy to transport. Unfortunately, everything was fine with the second printer until the original toner cartridge was used up (1000 pages). The printer refused to recognize the installation of a new cartridge even when using a replacement OEM toner cartridge. The Xerox Service Center said it could be a defective cartridge (they chipped) and they will send a new one. If it wasn't detected, they said a second technician visit would be needed. Xerox promised to ship a new toner cartridge with next day delivery. However, after 4 days the package never arrived. The seller called Xerox and again promised to send a replacement toner. Apparently they didn't ship the first toner. This one didn't arrive either. (In fact, he still doesn't have it.) Now, after not having a working printer for almost a month, the seller has agreed to refund the purchase. I have no complaints about the seller who has always behaved honestly. However, two problematic printers and very poor customer service are enough to end Xerox for good. PS I bought a Brother HL-L8260CDW instead and it works great. By the way, look at the prices for black toner from Xerox and Brother OEM. You will not regret it.
