Before buying I read several reviews of different bike mirrors. I have a Specialized Cross Trail bike with straight bars and finger/thumb derailleurs. I was concerned about not having enough clearance, but I only had to move the grip back a few millimeters to allow the mirror mount to fit on the stem between the grip and shifter. Much more space for a switch. The mirror also allows you to adjust so you see more of the road than your hand. A few small adjustments to the angle and I tightened it with an allen wrench. FYI - the installation key is not included. It seems to sit stably on the handlebars and offers good rear visibility when riding. I polished the surface of the mirror with spray wax to keep it clean - no visible distortion and good reflectivity for a mirror without glass. I did a test drive and this mirror gives me the rear view I need. No more swerving to look for traffic, and actually seeing cars coming from behind gives me peace of mind. So far I am happy with this purchase.
