The field of vision is very good, the mirror remains clear. We have regularly fitted them in a handlebar mounted rack at the back of the car and have had no problems with them. This product is a mystery to me. It seems very well made, but the bracket that attaches to the steering wheel is too small. I have several bikes of different types. It didn't fit anyone, with or without a band. It's a hinge mount, so there's not much hacking to do. according to my measurements it fits 3/4 inch to 7/8 inch diameter rods.
