Purchased to brew more than one cup of coffee at a time. I've been using the 1 serving (3 cup) moka pot for years and love it. I thought it would be a good approach for the same principle but with some quarks. It is, but it has design flaws that make it less than ideal for actual use: once placed on the hob, it cannot be easily moved or adjusted as the handle section and (heavier) base section are not attached. In order to try to change its position, it is necessary to hold the base. The top cap is a problem. It doesn't hold securely so has to be held while pouring, and it's hot. The whole unit isn't connected so you can't pour the coffee out and then rinse it under cold water to clean it in the sink (I pour in the coffee and then immediately wash the coffee pot so it doesn't set and need extra Wash to clean after getting cold). You must let them cool on the stove before rinsing out the coffee filter cup, tube and base.
