- just to show how it looks). I'm using KVM with a work laptop (HP Elitebook) and a high-end gaming PC (RTX2080 GPU/AMD Ryzen 2700x CPU). Long story short, KVM intermittently freezes completely (switch button stopped working, keyboard and mouse stopped working), so you have to unplug all cables, turn off computer, plug everything back in, turn computer back on, and sometimes it can start working again normal. In other cases, I had to try this process about 6 times in a row before it worked again. When it happens the resolution of my 27" Dell gaming monitors drop at 2560 x 1440 and everything on the screen becomes huge. Also, I can't find a reset button on KVM, so this thing has a huge impact on my productivity. .problems with cables every time this thing freezes for me.I've done IM support with Revain and they're sending me a new one.Let's see if that helps (doubtful at the moment).normal - this problem is intermittent, but it is extremely destructive. I thought maybe I'm using the wrong USB power supply (it's not included, you'll need to provide one - and I'm using 5V, which is required, so it's not right either. The same power supply works fine on other devices. It charges my bluetooth headphones/smartwatches etc well and 5v is what the KMV needs. Also the mouse input for KVM for my laptop never worked properly with it. I had to connect a dedicated mouse to my laptop and use two mice to get through. The same mouse over KVM works fine on my desktop. Two major hits on this one for me. Not impressed. Updated Review: I contacted Revain support via live chat and although the return period had expired the agent listened to my issue (I bought a KVM along with two monitor arms and a 63" desk to balance my work environment vs. what I was trying to improve - however the 63" table didn't arrive for a few weeks (although it was a Prime item) so I waited until I had it before assembling everything. Because of that wait the KVM - return period expired, but the representative listened to me and after I explained the problem sent a replacement. The replacement block works so far - a small workaround required. I was still having the issue of the keyboard and mouse working fine on the desktop but only one working on the laptop. I found a workaround: I connected one of the USB keyboard/mouse cables to the K/M port on the front of the KVM and the other to one of the USB2.0 ports also on the front of the KVM. This solved the weird issue where K/M only worked on desktop. I'm happy as I have no urgent need to use another USB 2.0 between laptop and desktop. I added two stars because the Revain representative was willing to help me, and also because the sjsmtek seller contacted me by email. say they're doing it right. This rating went from negative to positive due to good customer service and ultimately a good solution. I would upgrade to 5 stars if it weren't for the weird K/M issue still there, so I think 4 is fair.
