If you want to SIT high up at your desk while standing, this stool is probably the right choice. It doesn't work as a "standing support" though - it's too short to lean against when I'm standing and I'm only 5ft 3cm tall. Improvement after break-in period but pillow is firmer than I would like for comfort. I wear shorts when I work from home and the seat fabric is rough on the back of my legs. While not that bad, the seat feels very tight, even if it wobbles slightly; I'm not afraid that the foundation will slip away from me. I can also easily place the stool next to my desk, it is well grounded but doesn't "stick" to the floor. it requires 2 hands - one on the base and one on the seat, but I don't find it difficult or heavy. The height adjustment is easy and smooth. I will look for a seat cover as the fabric is the most bothersome element to me (shorts are in the summer a must in Texas) and hope the pillow breaks a bit (or I'll get used to it).
