Review on ROCK BROS Foldable Resistance Exercise by Trevor Blazis

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Useful but questionable quality

First, as I see complaints in the reviews that they are difficult to use, a few tips for beginners: 1. Before doing anything else, you need to loosen the internal nuts a bit so that they can be loosened the drums can rotate freely. Everything is tight ex works. In my photos I have indicated the clamping nut with a pencil. Use a wrench to loosen the outer nuts to allow some play in the axle, then loosen the inner nuts just enough to allow the drum to spin more freely, but not so much that it rattles on the axle. Then tighten the outer nuts just enough to re-secure the frame.2. Install the front roller so that the bolt on the fork is directly over the center of the roller. Holes are provided for this to move the roller forward and backward.3. Place a box or small stool next to the wheels to make it easier to get on the bike. For this purpose, a step is built into the design in more expensive versions.4. speed is your friend It's easier to keep your balance when your wheels are spinning faster.5. Focus your eyes on a few feet in front of you as if you were driving down a street. This will help you balance.6. Check out some tutorial videos on YouTube. They are fun and useful. If you're new to this, you'll find that riding in place feels weird because, unlike stationary machines, you have to keep your balance just like on the road. Learning to use scooters takes practice, so don't get discouraged. I'm a lifelong cyclist but haven't skated since 2004 so I'm basically a newbie again. However, I managed to get there in less than 30 minutes. In my video you can see that I'm definitely still finding my balance, but basically I'm there. I didn't even fall and bang my head on the coffee table! PRODUCT REVIEW: I realize this is the lowest price point so I wasn't expecting great tech, but I was hoping it would at least arrive with no actual damage. The front caster was dented right out of the box and while still serviceable, I can feel it when my bike slides over it. The black finish is cheap and can chip if you're not careful when adjusting the screws. Even the logo stickers are cheap and partially fell off in transit. Like other reviewers, I was disappointed in the lack of English instructions, although it arrived fully assembled. As you can see from my photos, the schematic is so poorly photocopied that even that part is almost unreadable. I'm just starting to use rollers again after a long time, so I wasn't sure I wanted to spend a fortune on it. This will help me get through the rest of spring, but eventually I'll probably move on to something better.
