Telephoto lenses are insanely expensive, so I jumped at the chance to review the Jintu 420-1600mm 800mm f/8.3 Telephoto Manual Zoom Lens. Jintu costs $149 (about $149), which is a fraction of the cost of big-name alternatives. The downside to this is that it only works in manual mode. I've only recently started to get serious about my Canon T7, so I'm not good at handheld photography yet. But the lens really cuts a fine figure and does what it promises. Inside the box you will find the lens with its own drawstring pouch, lens hood, T2 adapter and 2x teleconverters. The build quality seems surprisingly reliable and much better than mine. expected for such a cheap lens. The zoom action is smooth. The picture quality is just fantastic. When you shoot in manual mode, the metering doesn't work, so you're on your own. It also means your camera doesn't store any metadata with the photos you take with the lens. All components fit together well and work very well. If you're familiar with the limitations of shooting in manual mode, you'll appreciate the benefits of the Jintu lens.
