I have no idea about "durability" but so far so good with this replacement lamp. Fits perfectly and works on both low and high settings - just like the original that came with my microwave (surface lit). It's only 25W, so not as bright as I'd like for a surface light, but I didn't want to go over the 25W spec for the device. These lamps heat up, but they are no different from the original.
