Review on Silent Power: be quiet! Pure Wings 2 120mm PWM High-Speed Cooling Fan BL081 by Aaron Vang

The plastic is really good, almost carbon reinforced, strong, good quality, durable plastic! Specifications: Operating voltage: 5-12V Noise level: 18.6dB Airflow: 33.15cfm Input power: 3.84W Input current: 0.32AC Lifespan: 80,000 hours Here are my personal power consumption measurements and notes for 80mm fans: 2.80V 0.01A (0.03W), fan kick starter required; They don't provide much airflow up to 3-4.00V 0.05A (0.20W), 4V is needed to start the fan itself. 5.00V 0.06A (0.30W), Airflow = 3-4 inches. 0.50W) 9.00V 0.10A (0.90W), fan barely audible in quiet room, hum is audible, airflow 1.5ft 24.0V 0.255A (6.15W), not recommended for lasting effect! 30.0V 0.31A (9.3W), audible, good airflow, after 20 seconds the fan burned out, still works, but constantly reduces power by 20-25%. 91mm fan numbers: 2.75V 0.04A (0.10W), fan kickstarter required; they don't provide much airflow up to 3V. 4.00V 0.075A (0.30W), 4V is needed to start the fan itself. 5.00V 0.085A (0.425W), Airflow = 4-5 inches. 0.57W), Airflow 1/2 ft. 9.00V 0.135A (1.20W), Fan barely audible in a quiet room, Airflow = 1 ft. 12.0V 0.17A (2.00 W), 16.0V 0.225A (3.60W) 1.5ft airflow 20.0V 0.28A (5.6W) 24.0V 0.34A (8.15W) voltage no recommended, low noise audible, airflow 2 feet. 30.0V not tested. Manufacturer's specs appear to have been tested at 14-16v but the real numbers are better than the specs! This is a good indicator, it may be a quality product! Fan Personal rating: 4.8 out of 5 stars for the air flow, 4.9 out of 5 stars for the smooth running (usually not audible at operating voltage) 4.8 out of 5 stars for the quality and the durable plastic. 4.5 out of 5 stars for under and over voltage operation. Let's hope the brushes and bearings last 80,000 hours. Overall I would recommend these fans if you don't like LEDs. Things! Absolutely to suggest!
