Review on Portable acoustics JBL Wind 2, 5 W, black by Aneta Jaszczyk ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not the best quality, but overall not bad.

Took to install a hook in the bathroom shower in order to hang the radio there. There is not a lot of variety available among water-resistant gear that is affordable. Although we do not intentionally pour water on it, the combination of steam, moist hands, and little droplets has not caused any issues for the past month. Underneath a high-quality rubber and magnetic plug is a compartment that contains USB ports as well as many other "holes." The most significant issue is that the volume is automatically set to 25 once the device is turned on. And not right away, but rather after waiting 5 seconds. The routine is as follows: turn the device on, wait five seconds, lower the level to 10-15, and then switch to the radio. If, after turning on the device, you begin to lower the volume before the "set" prompt, the device will reset the volume to 25 regardless of what it managed to set. In point of fact, the radio catches with a wheezing sound, much like any modern low-cost radio receivers.

Pros
  • Hanging in the bathroom while being waterproof.
Cons
  • Every time you turn it on, you will need to make the necessary adjustments to the level as well as the mode in which it operates (Bluetooth or radio). The radio has some static.
