That solved our problem perfectly!
We have had this problem since we had a puppy. We put the cat crates and food in the garage, left the door ajar to let the cat in, and put in a baby gate to keep the pup out. But the gate is too high for the cat to easily jump over, so we placed a chair inside and outside the door to give the cat a chance to jump in any direction. This ingenious little device solved the whole problem and looks a lot better. I love it so much I'm planning to buy a second one for one of our upstairs rooms where the pup won't let go of it.
