I read a lot of reviews complaining about the taste but I bought it anyway because the taste is very subjective. Now that I've tried it myself, I agree with them. It has a REALLY metallic taste. As for efficiency, who's to say? This is difficult if not impossible to measure. I will not buy MuscleTech again. Edit: Today is August 18th, 2021. I've owned these for over a year. I finally just gave up. I'm demoting my stars from 2 to 1. I can't bear to drink it. It only expires in a few months. So it's not just about age. It just tastes like crap. I bought another brand from Costco. It's higher in calories, but at least it tastes decent. MuscleTech has terrible taste.
