We've been to several restaurants that have used this type of wine cooler and they always look cool. If you don't cool the chiller yourself, it won't sweat. If you chill it, so be it. If you don't refrigerate it, it will only keep the wine cool. But when you refrigerate it (we put it in the freezer), the wine is refrigerated, not just preserved. On some warm days this is necessary. Ironically, one benefit of this cooler is that it doesn't sweat, but then they include a picture of it sweating. We have a place by the lake and mostly sit on our terrace. with a glass of wine, so we'll just bring our own wine. We don't mind if he sweats, so we freeze this cooler. Looks great and keeps your wine cold.
