I looked at about 10 cordless hair curlers, read all the reviews and decided on this one based on the looks and the reviews. Obviously some of the reviews were terrible, but the positive reviews seemed consistent with how I would (carefully) use it. Today I tried it for the first time and am very pleased with how easy it was to use and so much fun. The curls turned into very nice waves when I teased my hair a bit. I have fine hair and set it on the lowest temperature (300F) and lowest 8 seconds and it worked great. We strongly recommend watching a few videos beforehand as the written guide is almost useless and contains typos. It is very important not to put too much hair in the slit and to style it properly. 8 hours later I still have waves and some curls in my hair which is amazing as my hair straightens straight away with a regular flat iron. I also tried my daughter's very long hair and that didn't work either - I think next time I'll just do the bottom 8-10 inches of her hair.
