Military type reconnaissance vest

I have this vest and a cotton Humvee vest. I have a Stearns PFD fishing vest which I will talk about later. I use them to carry a light SMALL DSLR or PXS photo gear in some muzzle situations where I need to be hands free rather than juggling things out of a bag. Florida weather 4 seasons. A cotton vest over a t-shirt or warm jacket is more functional when traveling, looks better, feels nice and doesn't make noise like nylon. This vest is used in the same way, the nylon vest can be more waterproof in the front pocket area, and it has enough pockets for a phone, a small camera, an extra lens, and a large back pocket for a poncho or lamp as a ground cover. or a bug net that you can build for evil in the land of bugs. It's well made and cool, but it looks military in black. It's better suited to dirty work with waterproof PXs and rubber boots when you're about to wade into a swamp. It's easy to erase. Picks up less dirt. This is not a casual vest and I like a cotton vest in dry, cold weather and I carry a waterproof jacket in my back pocket. I like the back pockets on these things in sudden weather changes, a rescue blanket, a light jacket. If it's soft, it's comfortable to press against your back when leaning against a tree or sitting. Zippered bags or waterproof padded bags are better, and the camera protector fits in large bags, as long as you don't overload it, it stays handy, it does not replace a shoulder bag with additional protection for a large DSLR. Gives you the ability to carry a smaller bag or backpack and still have your gear close at hand in the front pockets. Think of it as a system to use, not a style choice.
