I bought a Rothco Recon Vest a few years ago when I went to Uganda to observe mountain gorillas. Excellent vest. Well made (good stitching), lightweight (nylon and nylon mesh), lots of pockets. I use a vest for outdoor inspections when I don't want to carry around an inspection case. I can't say if this will hold up, but I can tell you that it's quite "trendy" Italian - and I wanted to get away from that a bit camouflage look. A BIG BONUS is that it has way more pockets than advertised; like 8 or 9 (double slots in one pocket). So with all those pockets and even shoulder straps you could hang things - a useful tool. I have this vest and a cotton Humvee vest. I have a Stearns PFD fishing vest which I will talk about later.
