So far this item has worked well. It was easy to install on my 05 Hummer H2. It took some practice to get the suction cup working. Press the top all the way down until it snaps into place, then press the small button halfway down, about where your thumb should be, to suck up the solder. Once you've melted the old solder, you need to press the button. I figured it would be best to do this while the soldering tip was still in the old solder. I used red lights as they don't destroy your night vision and are much easier to focus at night. The red lights are great. The photo is just a fitting without an outer frame. I found this to be the easiest way to make sure the needles are in the right place. The other indicators that appear on the dashboard are related to a repair I performed at the same time as this installation and not to problems with the product. I haven't ridden my H2 a track since installing it because I'm doing some other repairs, but I'll edit my review if there are any issues. I definitely recommend this product if your dashboards are broken or intermittent.
