It worked like a charm. It was harder to get than the YouTube video I was watching, but once I got it all went well. Evaluate the proposal to solder at a temperature of 200 degrees. And there was a temporary adjustment on the solder pin! Big! You can overheat the solder. I have some soldering experience and I'm sure it helped with all of this. So far this item has worked well. It was easy to install on my 05 Hummer H2. It took some practice to get the suction cup working. Press the top all the way down until it snaps into place, then press the small button halfway down, about where your thumb should be, to suck up the solder. I'll start by saying I've only changed the bulbs on my '04 Sierra, so I can't comment on the quality of the stepper motors. The soldering iron was good for what I needed, it met all my expectations and I'm sure that if I need to solder again in the future I won't have any problems with the supplied soldering iron.
