Conclusion: Outstanding price-performance ratio for this MP3 player. I decided to upgrade to the previous Berennis model. I'm sure someone in the family would want an older one as it still works great! (The smaller one on the left in the picture is an older model.) As you can see from the photos, the new one is larger but helps with viewing and navigation. I hope my review helps you make a purchase decision. I know you should be concerned about quality and reliability when looking for the best price for you. I had no quality/reliability issues with the old version and so far the new version works fine. I know cell phone MP3 players aren't that popular, but I don't like emptying my phone for music. Phones are expensive so I prefer to waste cheap MP3 players. I hike, hike, and train, so a smaller device is better. PROS* The display has been greatly improved. More than 1 item is displayed in the menu at the same time. Navigation through the options has been simplified.* Song information has become better. (2nd picture comparison)* Bluetooth is better and easier to connect to my Bose Soundlink Mini. Old version I had to turn Bluetooth back on every time the device came back from sleep mode to reconnect. The new version automatically connects better.* Has more functions (calendar, stopwatch, alarm clock, pictures, films, e-books).* Long battery life.* Robust housing of the device. I use it regularly at work. * You can take a micro SD card with you, but without it there are already hundreds of songs on it, so you may not need it. If you don't use it to save some photos and videos. * Came with headphones. You work decently. I'm picky about my sound, so I use better and unfortunately much more expensive options to use with the player. Cons * Unfortunately, the side buttons for manual volume control are gone. :( This made it easier to set up without having to quickly turn the device back on. Luckily the boot up is faster so not that fiddly. (Not too bad.) The pause button on the side. I use this in the office and when people come to me it would be more convenient to press pause than turning it back on (from sleep mode) to press pause I don't think any other brand has this option I know of so it would be nice if Berennis could add it. : ) Note: Be sure to read the product manual. There is a sub-menu level that offers additional customization options in certain places. I couldn't understand something and wasted time trying to figure it out for myself. To save time!
