I got one like this a few years ago. My boyfriend liked it so much he bought it too. It was a bit difficult for both of us to put ours together. I've actually traveled around building display models for retailers, so I have more than average experience building these things. Just received my second one (they make a very attractive pair). It's gotten better, and now I have a few suggestions to help with assembly: 1. If your mechanical skills are just average, hire a second pair of hands to help hold things in place2. Steps 1-4: Just collect both sets at once, save one for later3. Steps 6 and 9: Be careful not to over-tighten them - you shouldn't be able to, but remember these screws are in plastic anchors4. Before Step 11: Temporarily remove the F-Board furthest from the assembled end - it will just fall out by Step 135. Step 11: Instead of putting the bars together and trying to fit them through all the holes, hand thread the 4 connectors into the threaded holes on Board A, then bisect the bars6. Step 13: Reinstall the F board before attaching the base board7. Step 14: The Spinning Base can be (wrongly) assembled in a number of ways. I think both of my rings originally had the ball bearings upside down - make sure the flat side of this ring is in contact with the base before tightening the bolt. So it turns much easier.8. Enjoy! This is a really attractive and versatile stand. Also sturdy! (If not, you did something wrong)
