Review on Maxell 100MB IBM Pre-Formatted Zip100 Disk (3-Pack) - Discontinued by Manufacturer by Braden Bowers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Yes, people still use them!

I'm not sure what the name is, but the Maxell 100 brand ZIP drives are second only to the Iomega brand. Of course, I doubt you or your Zip drive will notice any noticeable difference, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. The Maxell Zip Three Disc Pack is a set of classic ZIP discs that gained some recognition (and perhaps fame) in the mid-1990s to mid-2000s as a high-capacity format before CD-R and USB - the accumulators have that position inherently cracked . I believe that up until the mid 2000's 100MB (actually 95.5MB even with NTFS formatting) was more than enough for documents and similar data - still if you use a ZIP drive. As a Maxell product, this is a standard set of blanks with no additional labels just begging for your personalization like any blank canvas. I think Maxell is a good brand. I bought similar discs in the early 2000s, they still read and write well today (2014) and even the day I formatted and used them years ago. Of course, like many readers, I've moved on to multi-gigabyte flash drives, but I'm still working on computers that are so old that they don't have an option to add USB ports or an operating system that doesn't recognize USB.
